Women's Running Shoe

Taking a cue from the intricate workings of the bare foot, the Nike Free Run+ 2 Women's Running Shoe is designed to maximize the foot's natural range of motion while providing protection and cushioning for a smooth ride.

Benefits
The flexibility of Free plus cushioning and support
Numerous flex grooves for a more natural, barefoot-like stride
Dynamic upper for a perfect glove-like fit
Weight: 7.2 ounces (women's size 8)
Fit
Designed to keep the foot in place without restricting movement, the Nike Free Run+ 2 features bonded overlays for excellent support. The inner sleeve provides a snug feel, yet it's dynamic enough to move with the natural motion of the foot.
Flexibility
Deep flex grooves along the outsole allow the foot to move naturally in multiple directions. The heel features a “center of pressure” design for extra cushioning on contact, maximizing overall flexibility.
Cushioning
Without sacrificing the feel of barefoot running, the Nike Free Run+ 2 Shoe delivers a plush, cushioned ride. Phylite material seamlessly fuses the midsole with the outsole, creating a one-piece design that's as resilient as it is durable. The molded sockliner mimics the curves of the foot for a comfortable, supportive fit.
Origins
After learning that Stanford athletes had been training barefoot on the university's golf course, three of Nike's most innovative and creative employees set out to develop a shoe that felt natural and weightless, just like bare feet. In 2002, they examined a group of men and women with pressure-measuring insoles taped to their feet, using high-speed cameras to capture images of each foot in motion.
The team spent eight years studying the biomechanics of shoeless running. The results yielded a profound understanding of the foot's natural landing angle, pressure and toe position, allowing Nike designers to build an unconventional and flexible running shoe from the inside out.
Additional Details
Asymmetrical lacing system to help reduce pressure over the top ridge of the foot
Waffle lugs at the outsole for impact absorption and traction

Womens design running shoes

The first thing to remember about women’s running shoes is that they are different in design to those for men. This is because women’s feet will be of a different general shape and also a woman’s weight is likely to be less than that of a man. Gender specific designs abound, and for very good reason.

The difference extends to design – in terms of looks – too with many women’s running shoes being more feminine in appearance than the equivalent macho men’s variety, but in all cases we found that quality, comfort and performance were never compromised. Also for consideration is the price, and this is why we have created these reviews of cheap women’s running shoes for you to study and take into account. We know that there are many different styles and brands on the market across a wide variety of prices, and we have tried to feature models that are from all areas of the price range.

We took some time looking through the brands that offer cheap women’s running shoes and came to the conclusion that two, in particular, stood out in the market. Both are well known brands that have much experience in sporting goods and shoes, and both have comprehensive ranges of shoes from which we picked three to feature.

The first brand we chose was New Balance, a maker held in high regard in the sporting world and one with plenty of choice on offer. These shoes are made to a high standard and offer superb levels of performance and great looks at very reasonable prices, and also feature advanced technology that adds to the experience. Our other brand, Asics, is equally famed in the sporting world and also offers a comprehensive range. Again, we found a consistently high level of quality and performance and some excellent and innovative approaches to achieving the best mix of fit and comfort. All in all, our two chosen brands represent the variety and choice that is available across the market and, we hope, enable our women’s running shoe reviews to help you find your way through the choices on offer. After all, the best women’s running shoes for you are not always going to be those that are best for another.
